Our client, an international bank is hiring a Chief Financial Officer. This position will be responsible for overseeing the Bank’s financial operations and credit functions, ensuring fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and asset protection, while providing strategic leadership in financial reporting, lending, risk management, and departmental performance to support the Bank’s overall business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Leads all financial operations, including accounting, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, regulatory compliance, and audit oversight to ensure accurate reflection of the Bank’s financial position.
- Oversees credit administration, including lending support, policy development, risk assessment, loan quality, and recovery processes to maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
- Provides strategic leadership, participating in business planning, capital strategy, asset/liability management, and advising executive management and the Board on financial decisions.
- Manages regulatory and internal reporting, including call reports, tax filings, key performance indicators, and loan loss reserve calculations.
- Supervises and develops teams, ensuring effective training, cross-functional coverage, and high-performance standards across accounting and credit functions.
- Ensures policy compliance and internal controls, regularly reviewing and enhancing financial, credit, and operational procedures in alignment with laws, regulations, and Bank goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred, or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in accounting, financial operations, and management within the banking or financial sector.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, banking compliance regulations, payroll, budgeting, and internal control systems; advanced knowledge of bank accounting policies and procedures is essential.
- Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, word processing, and systems like FedLine; solid math skills including financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
- Proven ability to lead and train teams of 15+ employees, with strong organizational, time management, and delegation skills; experience in strategic planning and departmental oversight.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
