Description

We are seeking a skilled Transmission Shift Engineer to join our client a leading organization known for its commitment to excellence and innovation in the field of energy. As a Transmission Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of transmission equipment, ensuring seamless functionality, and addressing any issues that may arise during shifts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical or mechanical engineering, coupled with hands-on experience in transmission systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the operation of transmission equipment including transformers, switchgears, circuit breakers, and associated components to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Conducts regular inspections and preventive maintenance checks on transmission systems to identify potential faults or inefficiencies and implement timely corrective measures.
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots technical issues related to transmission equipment, including power outages, voltage fluctuations, and system failures, and implements appropriate solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborates with other shift engineers and team members to coordinate operational activities, prioritize tasks, and ensure seamless transitions between shifts.
  • Adheres to regulatory standards and industry guidelines governing the operation and maintenance of transmission systems, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Maintains accurate records of shift activities, equipment maintenance, and incident reports, and prepare detailed documentation and reports for management review.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and optimization of transmission operations, and actively participate in initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with transmission systems in a utility, power generation, or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles, transmission protocols, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting transmission issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Qualifications:
