Description

Location: Puerto Rico (Remote)

Our client, a global leader in tech-enabled creative production and procurement, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their finance team in Puerto Rico.
This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring efficient management of accounts payable and receivable processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily accounting activities to support the finance team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Review and process invoices, verify approvals, and ensure payments are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain vendor and client records, reconcile statements, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices, record payments, and complete bank deposits.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Support internal audits and contribute to process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with finance team members across regions to ensure consistent accounting practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or similar financial support roles.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and general ledger functions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities remotely.
  • Must be based in Puerto Rico and available to collaborate in office during regular business hours 2-3 days per week.
