The Senior Database & Knowledge Graph Administrator is responsible for administering, optimizing, and securing enterprise relational databases and knowledge graph platforms supporting high-availability analytics and operational systems. This role ensures performance, reliability, data integrity, and compliance across hybrid data environments leveraging PostgreSQL, SQL Server, distributed data platforms, and knowledge graph technologies such as Neo4j.

Responsibilities:
• Administer PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and other enterprise RDBMS platforms.
• Manage distributed data platforms (Databricks, Delta Lake, Synapse).
• Administer Neo4j or similar knowledge graph platforms.
• Configure performance tuning, indexing, replication, high availability, and backup strategies.
• Implement automation via Python, Bash, Terraform, Liquibase, GitHub Actions.
• Maintain monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).
• Ensure compliance with, GxP, ISO 27001, 21 CFR Part 11 and security frameworks.
• Collaborate with Data Operations, SRE, Security, and Engineering teams.
• Lead troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation, data flow diagrams, procedures, and configuration baselines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8+ years of enterprise DBA or data engineering experience
  • Strong expertise with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or similar RDBMS
  • Experience with distributed data ecosystems (Databricks, Delta Lake, Synapse, Snowflake)
  • Hands-on Neo4j or graph database experience
  • Experience with automation tools and CI/CD practices
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Fully fluent in English required

Preferred Certifications:

  • Neo4j Certified Professional
  • Databricks Data Engineer
  • AWS Database Specialty
  • Azure Database Administrator Associate
  • HashiCorp Terraform Associate
  • Linux+ / Security+

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ELK Stack
  • Sharding and distributed query engines
  • Metadata and lineage design
  • Airflow or orchestration frameworks
  • Experience with Kafka or streaming integrations
  • Experience with geo-distributed data architectures
  • Kubernetes/ArgoCD exposure for database operations
