The Senior Infrastructure & Compute Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise compute environments across hybrid on-prem and cloud-based platforms. This role ensures the reliability, scalability, performance, and security of virtualization platforms, server infrastructure, and compute clusters supporting mission-critical workloads. The specialist will lead lifecycle management, automation, monitoring, and systems standardization to support highly available operations.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and optimize virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, Nutanix).
• Manage Windows Server, Linux, and Unix compute environments.
• Support hybrid cloud compute environments (Azure, AWS).
• Implement automation using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell DSC, Bash, or Python.
• Maintain monitoring and observability dashboards (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).
• Conduct patching, upgrades, capacity planning, and hardware lifecycle management.
• Maintain accurate CMDB and asset inventory documentation.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, SRE, Security, and Data Operations teams.
• Diagnose and resolve complex compute performance and reliability issues.
• Maintain compliance with frameworks (HIPAA, ISO 27001, GxP).

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise compute/virtualization administration
• Expertise in VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, Linux/Windows server administration
• Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure management
• Experience with automation (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools
• Strong understanding of security, RBAC/ABAC, endpoint hardening
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual preferred
• Fully fluent in English; Spanish preferred
