Underwriting Manager

About the Role:

Our client a well establish insurance company is looking for an Underwriting Manager to lead the underwriting team, ensure compliance with guidelines, and drive profitability while delivering exceptional service.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of underwriters, providing coaching, feedback, and training.
• Review and evaluate rates for new and existing groups, making sound recommendations.
• Develop and update underwriting policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Monitor workflow to optimize efficiency and meet service-level agreements.
• Analyze underwriting data, market trends, and industry developments to inform strategy.
• Partner with brokers, agents, and clients to address inquiries and strengthen relationships.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5–7 years of underwriting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Fully Bilingual
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport across teams and with external partners.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
