Cybersecurity Lead Engineer

Our client, a multinational leader in a regulated service industry is hiring a Cybersecurity Lead Engineer.  This role is responsible for the administration and configuration of information security tools, security devices cybersecurity safeguards and cybersecurity event management.

Responsibilities:

• Works closely with service providers
• Works closely with various departments including application development, its operations, it networks and privacy teams
• Lead teams with building, testing, implementing, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise security solutions
• Lead the staff with tactical execution and implementation of operational plans
• Leads continued analytics of trends and maintain compliance with respect to organizational risk
• Leads the development of security controls to decrease enterprise risk
• Leads security technology incident response and problem management
• Leads the development of operational strategies related to technology security.
• Leads the migration, upgrade and disposal of complex technological security capabilities
• Leads remediation actions

• Bachelor degree in computer science cybersecurity or related field
• 8 plus years of relevant experience- (at least 6 yrs in cybersecurity experience and 2 yrs in infrastructure.
• Some background in software development.
• Certified information systems security professional (CISSP) nice to have
• Exposure with SSO technologies such as SAML and OAuth.
• Capabilities to support Azure, understanding of Entra and how it works with Azure.
• Scripting and application development background (software development, scripting, Java, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell)- Nice to have.
• Application Security (WAF, Web application firewall, Bot protection, Privileged Access Management, Identity proofing, Azure, PKI, API security, application vulnerability scanning)- Nice to have.
• Knowledge of application security concepts (such as OWASP top 10)
