Commercial and Contract Legal Director

Our client, a global leader in the service sector, seeks a Commercial and Contract Legal Director  will be instrumental in developing and leading the contract function, ensuring compliance, managing risks, and driving efficiency across our organization.

Responsibilities: 

• Advise on contract preparation, negotiation, and execution, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Supervise and evaluate contract-related work within the Procurement & Contracts department.
• Oversee drafting and formalization of contracts in alignment with regulations and organizational policies.
• Develop and implement divisional contract strategy to align with organizational objectives.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks within the contract portfolio.
• Manage all aspects of contract execution, including drafting, negotiation, and finalization, while ensuring compliance and accurate recordkeeping.
• Conduct risk assessments, collaborate with legal teams, and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Establish contract reporting systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams for strategic partnerships.
• Manage vendor contract amendments as necessary.
• Strong skills on contract negotiation.

• Juris Doctor
• Valid License by the PR Supreme Court to practice Law.
• 10+ years of commercial and contract negotiation experience.
• Familiarity with Puerto Rico contract law, Puerto Rico and federal government contracting regulations, and industry best practices.
• Fully bilingual
