Description
The Project Controls Specialist & Scheduler is responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with project contractual obligations, creating detailed schedules, managing costs, and identifying variances.
This role involves supporting resource-loaded schedules, implementing cost controls, and working with the Project Management Team and Task Managers to maintain organized project documentation, track progress, and manage changes.
The Specialist must regularly scrutinize project progress and performance to discern emerging problem areas, ensuring appropriate contract administration interventions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or higher education, and at least five years of experience in scheduling construction projects and auditing federally funded grant program processes.
- Experience in document and process auditing, policy review and implementation, compliance review, and invoice review and validation.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Contract Manager, MS Project, Office 365, MS SharePoint, Procore, Smartsheet, and other PM software.
- Understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Reporting, travel logistics, and technical writing skills.
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (both written and verbal).
- Demonstrated experience as a Scheduler in projects within the past five years.
- Experience in tracking budget expenses, being results-driven, delegation, time management, proactivity, and staffing.
