Our client’s mission is to develop strategic relationships with community leaders to nurture, optimize and implement funding programs and nationwide projects that have a transformative impact on their communities and the marginalized populations they serve. They support more than 1,200 projects for a total of approximately $20 million in funding and are looking for a Program Manager to join their team in Chicago.
This is an exciting opportunity for a post-college professional with at least 5 years of experience, ideally within a midsize or larger nonprofit, university, or community-based organizations. We especially value candidates with leadership experience or service provision within the Hispanic community.
The Program Manager will coordinate and implement funding initiatives that have a transformative impact on Hispanic and marginalized communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate programs focused on leaders, building relationships and ensuring long-term sustainability.
- Collaborate to develop and enhance the Mission Immersion Program, creating impactful experiences for donors and partners.
- Analyze program outcomes, report on impact, and help improve future Mission strategies.
- Contribute to the development of new Mission initiatives that drive national impact.
Requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
- 5+ years of work experience, preferably in nonprofit, community-based organizations and systems or university settings.
- Strong program management, communications, and fundraising skills
- Regular travel required (5-10 nights per month).
- Entrepreneurial mindset, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Passion for working with under-resourced populations and understanding of its mission.
- Confident driver with a valid license and clean record.
