Description

The Manager, Strategic Projects and Planning has primary responsibility for defining, planning, tracking and managing the key projects that are part of the Business Strategic Priorities.  Examples include Patient Engagement Program Rollout, Accreditation, Reporting, Incentive Reports and KPI Visual Control. He/she is responsible for identifying key resources and providing the direction required for meeting the project objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • The Manager must be able to manage project schedule and task details and utilize project management tools such as reports, tracking charts, checklists, and project scheduling software and to delegate appropriately
  • Partner with multiple departments across the Company and across other businesses to drive execution
  • Conduct project kickoff meeting sand identify stakeholders needs and expectations
  • Delivering updates on the progress and possible obstacles facing a project
  • Must be able to manage change and take active leadership in timely decision making. managing and resolving issues as they arise and identifying potential risks and creating plans if they occur
  • The Manager must have the courage to face up to issues squarely and early, resolve conflicts, admit to having problems and seek coaching openly, escalate if necessary, and generally champion the people and the project up, down, and across the organization and with customers
  • Reporting and documenting progress to communicate with the team and key stakeholders
  • Assist in resolving business issues using system and data
  • Help launch new initiatives
  • Balances a variety of assignments at the same time while still completing prioritized requests when requested

Requirements

  • Experience in health care or specialty pharmacy
  • Strong computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office products and extensive experience using Excel is a plus. Working knowledge of Power BI and CPR+ is a plus
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, driving performance and executing on deliverables while leveraging collaboration tools and techniques
  • Excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, a natural problem-solver with analytical mind-set and sharp critical thinking skills. Strong attention to detail
  • Focus on customer service is strong
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (read, speak, write) in English and Spanish 

 

Required Education

Bachelor or master's degree (preferred) in Business Management, Marketing, Finance or Economics plus 10-12+ years of increasing responsibilities managing complex areas and leading teams
