Financial Controller

Our Client, a multinational leader in the financial services industry is hiring their financial controller. This position is responsible for all financial reporting matters under USA GAAP and for maintaining strong internal controls. This position is responsible for financial reporting to the Regional Headquarters.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all aspects or Puerto Rico’s financial statements closing process
• Coordinate with cross -functional teams, closing activities and ensure all deadlines are met.
• Quarterly financial reporting deliverables, variance analysis, and support the consolidated financial statements preparation
• Manage internal and external audits/coordinate audit process
• Certify quarterly reports are accurate and in accordance with US GAAP
• Regulatory reporting
• Provide accounting teams with USA GAAP Guidance
• Work with cross functional teams for revision of contracts and evaluate key accounting implications

• Bachelor degree in accounting
• CPA license
• Five plus years of experience in Accounting/Finance leadership role
• Strong USA GAAP, statutory and regulatory knowledge
• Supervisory experience
• Fully bilingual
• Advanced in Microsoft office and /Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems
