Responsible for the accomplishment of site goals and initiatives within the business unit.

Works closely with the Business Unit staff and Division resources to optimize results and meet customer expectations.

Drives the implementation of Lean PPI methods as required to reduce product cost, improve quality, reduce working capital, improve cash flow and achieve a superior manufacturing environment.

Develop, implement, and monitor internal performance metrics for on time delivery, cycle count accuracy, inventory management, cost, product quality, capacity plans and utilization, and production schedule accomplishment. Recommend and drive continuous improvement activities with staff to meet annual objectives.

Design and implement necessary improvements to maintain safe, clean, energy efficient, and well-organized facilities.

Pro-actively analyzes operations metrics and recommends / drives process improvements within the operations organization or the business unit to meet the business objectives.

Development of short and long term operations strategies for the site.

Actively involved in the New Product Development / Introduction process to successfully bring new products to market.

Develop the operations staff to become change agents, data driven decision makers, and discipline experts.

Communicates quarterly business updates and other corporate messages via a Town Hall to employees including corporate, division and local information.

Ensures that company’s initiatives are completed per the deadlines as developed, such as Ethics training, and PPI.

ISO management review process and representation.

Participation in site safety audits

Local coordination for local legal, HR, IT issues with decisional support from appropriate Division functional leader.

Local coordination of site approval authority for PO, Capex, etc. with decisional responsibility from the respective Divisional leader.

Direct supervision of all Puerto Rico plant operations staff.

Ability to work successfully in a functional/matrix organization.

Experience managing a diverse workforce.

University degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience; advanced degree in Operations Management or Engineering preferred.

5+ years of direct experience in operations leadership within a large, professionally managed operating company.

Must be bi-lingual in English/Spanish

Experience leading multiple global manufacturing sites.

Strong track record of implementing operations continuous improvement including lean manufacturing/demand flow/JIT.

Experience consolidating business operation sites preferred.

Demonstrated history of driving teams, processes, and facilitating improved performance.

Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge solid and positive professional relationships with subordinates, peers, and upper management
