Description

  • Responsible for directing all functions related to distribution and the fulfillment of objectives. Also responsible for strategic planning in the operational area.
  • Oversee and direct the personnel under their supervision, ensuring high quality compliance of their work team.
  • Share the mission, vision and objectives of the department and the Company, offering and receiving feedback (“feedback”) and serving as a guide (“coaching”).
  • Direct, develop and establish the procedures of the distribution area in accordance with the operational needs of the department and the goals of the organization.
  • Comply with all policies, administrative procedures and human resources established by the Company.
  • Ensure high quality performance, professional development and motivation of your work team, sharing the mission, vision and objectives of the department, offer and receive “feedback” and serve as a guide “coaching”
  • Maintain an active presence in the field to listen and observe the needs of clients and the audience, evaluate the operation and performance of their staff.
  • Plan and budget all aspects related to the distribution of product.
  • Lead optimization processes of a complex distribution network, achieving cost reductions and improving delivery time, quality and processes to all customers.
  • Evaluate the logistics systems and current processes to identify and develop opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop distribution and transportation metrics.
  • Analyze the financial impact of proposed changes in logistics, such as routes, modes of transport and product transporters.
  • Identify metrics that support periodic evaluations of internal processes and distribution to ensure that they comply with efficiency and quality standards, and that they are aligned with current industry challenges.
  • Stay updated with the new trends in the industry, the market and the audience.
  • Analyze circulation metrics and market data that contribute to the planning and implementation of new strategies.
  • Implement new and innovative ways to distribute company products.
  • Develop and maintain an adequate communication plan so that senior management, department staff and contractors are kept informed of the results, changes or new initiatives and strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor in Business Administration with major in Management or related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in distribution, logistics or related field. Minimum 5 years in supervisory role.
  • Excellent ability to lead a diverse and numerous work team.
  • Ability to modify priorities and execute tasks in a demanding environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business needs and opportunities and how to maximize the staff to achieve the expected results.
  • Problem solving with the ability to define, diagnose and solve them.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with all internal and external hierarchical levels.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, verbal and written.
  • High degree of analytical skills and distribution measurements.
  • Be innovative and creative.
  • Excellent organizational skills, execution and ability to work on multiple tasks.
  • Ability to host and promote change. Must have an “organizational change” mentality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a good work environment.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Availability to work at night and weekends.

  • Maintain an active and consistent presence in the field, including the over 10 distribution centers, to listen, observe the needs of clients, employees and independent contractors, develop trust and emphasize the need for change.
  • Obtain the information or data necessary to meet the requirements of the consultants.
  • Identify metrics that evaluate project progress to ensure that efficiency and quality standards are met.
  • Analyze the implementation to evaluate necessary changes to the original plan and perform risk analysis.
  • Prepare progress reports, statistical and cost/savings analysis of the project.
  • Make presentation to senior management to report the progress and results of the project, areas of opportunity, adverse situations for implementation and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain an adequate communication plan so that senior management, department staff and contractors are kept informed of the results, changes or new initiatives and strategies.
